Norwegian Crafts collaborates with Ceramic Brussels to highlight the Norwegian ceramics scene at the fair's 2025 edition

22–26 January 2025

Ceramic Brussels 2025 will highlight the vitality of the Norwegian scene and its many facets by hosting five Norwegian galleries and co-curating a programme of talks. The focus on Norway is a collaboration between Ceramic Brussels and Norwegian Crafts.

Ceramic Brussels and Norwegian Crafts jointly selected a curated list of galleries from Norway that will be present at the 2025 edition. This selection process ensured a high standard with diverse programming of contemporary craft representation. The galleries will showcase the works of prominent and emerging Norwegian and Norway-based artists, providing visitors with a comprehensive insight into Norway's vibrant ceramic art landscape.

The first edition of Ceramic Brussels, the first international contemporary art fair dedicated to ceramics, took place from 25–18 January 2024 on the Tour&Taxis site, in the heart of Europe. The fair welcomed 55 international galleries and presented close to 200 artists to 12.900 visitors.

Visitor programme in Norway

In June 2024, Norwegian Crafts hosted Ceramic Brussels co-directors Jean-Marc Dimanche and Gilles Parmentier for a visitor programme in Norway. During their stay, they visited a variety of galleries and institutions working with ceramics: Center for Ceramic Art in Ringebu; Kiosken and KRAFT in Bergen; RAM Galleri, Format, QB Gallery and Skog Art Space in Oslo; and Kunsthall Grenland in Porsgrunn.

Following this, the main intentions of the collaboration between Norwegian Crafts and Ceramic Brussels were announced during the Belgian princely mission in Norway that focused on crafts, design, energy transition, circular economy, and life sciences from 16–19 June 2024.
